Our Vision

Get ready to lose yourself in the rhythmic celebration of dance at our festival, where each movement is a vivid expression of your most free and authentic self. Brace yourself for an unforgettable night of dancing to electrifying beats, courtesy of our incredible DJs.

Dance

Prepare to dive into an exhilarating lineup of workshops guided by facilitators from our community. Imagine this: one space focuses on immersive sensory experiences, while the other ignites your mind with educational discussions about alternative relationships.

Wisdom

Our unique Play Spaces are created to spark desires and kindle the flames of intimacy. This is a safe haven to explore a diverse spectrum of passions, from sensual scenes to impact play, ensuring that everyone finds their unique path to intimacy and connection.

Intimacy

We’re shining a spotlight on the incredible members of our community and showcasing their unique talents across the festival. Expect performances from fire dancing to stand up comedy and open mics. Everyone is welcomed to contribute to the magic of the festival.

Creativity

As stewards of this sacred land, every decision we make at FAR is anchored in our commitment to honour the land in which this event takes place. We pledge to minimise our environmental footprint with eco-friendly practices and leave no trace behind.

The next FAR will be held on the weekend of the 22-24th November in Palm Grove, Central Coast.

This is a highly anticipated event, so we recommend registering your interest early to be the first to know when tickets go on sale.

What to bring

Food & Drinks

If you aren’t planning on purchasing food from our vendors, please be sure to bring your own food, pots/pans, eskies, ice, utensils, cups, and burners to ensure you are well nourished! BYO alcohol but remember to drink responsibly to keep this a safe space

General Camping

For general camping tickets, tents, vans, swags and gazebos are all welcome at FAR festival. Everyone is responsible to leave no trace - all camping gear and rubbish must be taken away with you (and not placed in any bins along Ourimbah Creek Rd).

Decorations & Outfit

Bring along your most colourful flags, solar lights, lanterns and flowers to deck out your space and add some more magic to the festival! For our theme 'come as you are' bring your favourite festival attire that celebrates the fullest expression of you.

Embrace the extraordinary and get ready to celebrate love, connection, and the beautiful tapestry of alternative relationships.

My love letter to FAR

Anything that involves jumping in the car with my beautiful man in the drivers seat, cruising down the freeway singing along with your favourite tunes, talking shit and holding space for the bubbling excitement we both felt for the weekend ahead has got to be up there with one of the best feelings you ever can experience. It’s one of those small moments that are actually the big ones when all is said and done. It’s not a feeling I’ve taken for granted yet, nor will I, because I’m cognoscente that this feeling of ‘looking forward to something’ with someone you adore is just pure bliss.
So, then we arrived at the place we’d been talking about for months, we drove down this bumpy, bendy overgrown driveway to the prettiest patch of green grass, adorned with coloured flags flapping in the breeze, and a welcome sign in all its boho goodness ~ and smiled to ourselves. This was home for the next few nights! Every tiny detail was thought about creating the most sacred space for community to gather, connect and fall in love with life, with music, with nature, with sex, with people or with an alternate way of being… under the sun, and under the stars.
The power of breath, the power of touch and the power of energy exchange were all explored as we sat around in teepee tents not quite realising that we weren’t coming out the same way we went in. In our minds we thought surely one weekend festival couldn’t alter us, but the fire in our soul as we left tended to disagree.
Moments in time..
~ It started with a festival band that felt more like a friendship bracelet from the moment it was slid over my wrist.
~ Plunging in the ice cold stream topless, the dappled morning sunshine danced through the trees warming my skin ever so slightly; a twisted hanging branch sat a top the creek and became a swing where our inner child could play and giggle together.
~ Day turns to night, rainbow lights steal our gaze as they project in each of the trees, signalling to the masses the party was soon to begin. We stood huddled around the crackling fire, warming our hands as the night turned crisp, and as strangers became friends.
~ Tents, teepees and shelters that spent the day being that of shared learning experiences, morphed into a space where total freedom and frivolous fun was the only topic left to cover; a choose your own adventure, totally yours to decide.
~ Dancing the night away, shaking and swaying, soaking in the the sparkle and shine that decorated beautiful bodies everywhere.
~ Waking up early to the sounds of bird calls and choosing the beauty of breath-work to start our day, the release of tears shedding what no longer serves us.
~ Closing the festival with cuddles, kisses, closeness and confiding in the ones around us about all of this we shared as a collective is etched in my memory.
~ FAR you stole my heart 💜
Thank you to the ethereal princess in pearls Jess and James the FAR-king…as well as your whole team of amazingness. Sorry it’s taken so long but I just didn’t have the words - Amy (FAR attendee)
